Teddy Afro arrested
The young musical sensation of the time, Tewodros Kassahun a.k.a Teddy Afro was taken to Addis Ababa Central Prison Centre on Tuesday, April 16 after the Federal High Court Eighth Criminal Bench adjourned to rule over his appeal for right to bail on charges of murder. He is believed to be taken to Kaliti Prision centre. Teddy will stay there as the court is adjourned for Monday, April 21 to decide whether or not Tewodros be granted release on bail.
Many fans believe that Teddy is set up for the charge by the government that is supposed to resent Teddy’s public acceptance in his political reprimands by some of his songs

Editorial staffs of fortune, the English weakly, were in the same court to defend the changes pressed on them by Hayat Plc. and could relate the situation and Teddy’s reaction. Fortune’s website was updated on the day with the news of Teddy’s arrest.

I hope he did not commit this crime,however i still could not understand how polce connect him with the rime seen,we are not getting the whole history,we just heard part of the story which is normal for habsha.Is somenoe please explain the the whole story?
he really did swear tigreans and u can not deny that. so, the point is anyone who touch any tigrean citizen whenever the day is going to be but his/her death will be infront of tigreans.

we all love teddy afro, not just becouse he is a popular singer but he also has the kind of behaviour that one could envy to possess for him self. he loves his country and his people.i’ll never ever believe anyone tells me he did it. no one expect such a thing from teddy.

I think people think teddy as a superbeing or human he is just a normal being like us so he can be arrested or brought 2 court
Not only me but everybody agrees that Teddy never did such a thing its the brave art of the goverment they take a time and think many crimes for teddy and they kill that body and arrest teddy 4what they did this is their action but what they 4get is z presence of God God will let teddy free. long live 4Teddy
i don’t believe Teddy a kind of careless person did such a thing. because he is not only just a musician but also talent full minded and wise artist in Ethiopia. i hope and sure that God will help him get out of that gail soon.

the whole thing is very sad but i know that God will give Teddy the passiance to stay calm about evrything that is happening to him so we’re praying for u don’t worry we’ll just hope for the best.
What really worries me though is the conflict between ethiopian ethnies why do u discriminate one an other u should be united not devided u are making ethiopias ennemies happy so please in the name of God tolarate eachother it’s not about the language u speek in but the great human being u are within so please for ur countries sake leave ur diffrences asside ! thank you for ur time

I love Teddy Afro- one may say I am his biggest fan- Nonetheless, I know very little about his recent arrest. Everyone I talked to seem to be convinced of his innocence as some claim the government set him up. This theory may seem logical as he has been known as somewhat of an outspoken artist; however when you take a step back and look at the situation, the theory falls short of reality . I believe that many are jumping to conclusion with little information- I myself have been guilty of this- Claiming the government set him up, I believe, is a statement that underestimates the power the suppressive government of Ethiopia- if they really wanted to get ride of him that badly they would have done it years ago- Furthermore, the statement also overestimate Teddy Afro’s importance- for lack of better words- I think the government has bigger fish to fry ,like exploiting the nation to be bothered by Teddy. This is just my opinion y’all I would really appreciate more information about the case though
